In 2019, one hundred years after the Landale family bought Dalswinton Estate, Claxton’s moved into Sandbed House on the banks of the River Nith and the Dalswinton Bond was born.

Claxton’s Dalswinton Bond not only focuses on bottling whiskies and other spirits but also refining and enhancing whisky through cask maturation.

Dalswinton Bond is an independent bonded cask warehouse in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland, that maintains the highest industry whisky cask storage standards. With steel racked and traditional dunnage storage throughout the site, each cask warehouse is individually secured with 360 degree, 24 hour CCTV coverage and fire and intruder alarms providing maximum security and protection for your casks.

All warehouses offer spacious racking affording the ability to rapidly draw samples, regauge and provide excellent accessibility to monitor cask condition.

Dalswinton bonded warehouse

Dalswinton Bonded warehouse is situated within the grounds of the Dalswinton Estate with highly secure, traditional dunnage style cask warehousing and premium bottling facilities. As a fully HMRC approved bonded warehouse, spirits can be matured, re-racked, finished, blended and bottled all within one single countryside location.

This coupled with the beautiful surroundings of the estate and a private tasting lounge makes Dalswinton the ideal location for the maturation and bottling of fine spirits.

Cask movement

The 7,000 acre private estate of Dalswinton is conveniently located to the north of Dumfries and close to local motorway connections.

Claxton's can provide cask uplift and haulage from other warehouses to our own bonded warehouse and vice versa. We are also able to provide a third party movement gaurantee. This is part of the premium service offered by Claxton's and ensures rapid movement and storage of casks.
